Professional qualifications
Habilitation, University of Zilina, Slovakia, July 2017
On May 25, 2017, I gave my public lecture and defended my habilitation thesis. On October 26, 2017, I was given the Docent decree during my Habilitation Ceremony and it has been in effect since July 1, 2017. The related Docent degree (abbreviated as doc.) is a scientific-academic degree in Slovakia and at many European universities which is awarded after successful habilitation and is often required for an academic appointment below that of a full professor.

A full-time student of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) study. I passed the PhD Comprehensive Examination in January 2007. I defended my PhD thesis on September 23, 2009. On November 6, 2009 I was given the PhD Diploma during my PhD Ceremony. This PhD degree equals a Doctoral degree in Computer Science.

Memberships, volunteering and achievements
- In June 2019, a scholarship was granted to me within the Slovak-Cuban Scholarship Program so that I could attend courses Advanced Administration of GNU Linux, Data Mining and Applications in Python and Let Us Learn Spanish at the University of Informatics Sciences, Cuba.
- In March 2012, I displayed my poster at the House of Commons of the UK in the Engineering Sciences Session of the SET for BRITAIN competition (now STEM for BRITAIN).
- In December 2008, a Slovak Government scholarship was granted to me so that I could conduct a part of my Doctoral studies at the Osaka Prefecture University, Japan.
- In March 2007, I was granted a scholarship of the Finnish Government to be a visiting PhD student at the University of Tampere, Finland.
- From August 2007 to December 2008, I was a member of Azucar - an official association that unites salsa people in the Tampere area, Finland.
- In September 2006 I got among ten best participants of the ACM CZ Student Research Competition 2006. This competition is sponsored by Microsoft Corporation.
- In July 2006 I was conferred the Dean's Award for my Excellent Master Thesis.
- In late 1999 I entered for the Ideas Contest - Visions of Slovakia Economic Policy for the 21st Century. In January 2000, some participants and I were invited to the Primate's Palace in Bratislava and in February 2000 we, inter alia, talked to the then Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of Slovakia. Then, the participants' and my essays were published as a publication by Kalligram.
- From January 1999 to December 2001, I was a member of young fishers' club which is a part of the Slovak Fishing Union and its regional union in Zilina. I fished non-salmonoid waters.

MODELKLUB ZILINA - It's a club of modelers who build (radio-controlled) flying model aircrafts, (radio-controlled) model boats and radio-controlled model yachts. I was its member from 1996 to 1997.
- The 1997 Slovak Model Boat Championship, June - July 1997, in Rimavska Sobota: I won the 4th place with my boat Orfeus. Orfeus is a sport radio-controlled boat. I had built it using a plan. Its construction and my still-water navigation were judged. I was also the leader of our Zilina 3-member team during this Championship.
- A model boat contest, May 1996, in Ruzomberok: I won the 3rd place with the boat Orfeus.
